RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA -21, December 2025 – The MICHELIN Guide has made history with the official debut of its first-ever selection for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following a unique three-part digital journey that unfolded from October to December 2025, the MICHELIN Guide Saudi Arabia 2026 highlights 52 exceptional restaurants across Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla.
The inaugural selection includes 11 Bib Gourmand distinctions—awarded to restaurants offering high-quality food at a great price—and 41 Selected establishments, marking a new chapter in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving gastronomic landscape.
A Digital Journey of Discovery
In partnership with the Culinary Arts Commission, the Guide was introduced through a dedicated digital platform in three stages, with announcements made on the 15th of each month. This innovative approach allowed food enthusiasts to follow the unveiling of the Kingdom’s culinary gems in real-time.
Every restaurant featured was evaluated by anonymous MICHELIN Inspectors based on five universal criteria: quality of ingredients, harmony of flavors, mastery of techniques, the personality of the chef, and consistency across the menu.
“Saudi Arabia is fast becoming a culinary destination where tradition meets global creativity,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of The MICHELIN Guide. “Our Inspectors enjoyed dining everywhere from humble village houses steeped in heritage to chic contemporary spaces. The country’s tables showcase a rich mix of influences, blending Saudi roots with Levantine warmth, Peruvian flair, and international sophistication.”
