HKTDC Strengthens Saudi-Hong Kong Ties with Four Major Tech Fairs in April 2026

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – February 16, 2026 — The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has announced a high-impact lineup of four international technology trade fairs for April 2026. The move aims to capitalize on the surging bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong, which reached a total value of over USD 1.34 billion in 2025.

Strengthening Bilateral Trade Saudi Arabia currently stands as Hong Kong’s 37th largest trading partner. According to recent figures, Saudi Arabia’s exports to Hong Kong saw a significant 47.8% increase year-on-year by late 2025. Daniel Lam, HKTDC Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa, noted that these fairs offer an “ideal platform” for Saudi suppliers to penetrate Asian markets and for Saudi investors to discover next-gen innovations.

The April 2026 Tech Lineup The four major events will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC):

  1. InnoEX (13–16 April): The premier platform for smart solutions and disruptive tech.
  2. HK Electronics Fair – Spring Edition (13–16 April): Asia’s largest electronics marketplace.
  3. HK International Lighting Fair – Spring Edition (20–23 April): Focuses on “Go Smart • Live Green.”
  4. Smart Lighting Expo (20–23 April): Dedicated to the IoT-enabled lighting supply chain.

InnoEX 2026: “Innovate • Automate • Elevate” Under this year’s theme, InnoEX will spotlight five high-growth sectors:

  • AI+ and Robotics: Reshaping industrial and daily life.
  • Low-Altitude Economy: Innovations in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
  • PropTech & RetailTech: Digital platforms for smarter cities and commerce.

Next-Gen Electronics and Smart Lighting The Electronics Fair will feature the “Hall of Fame” with over 500 global brands and a “RoboPark” showcasing humanoids and autonomous mobile robots. Meanwhile, the Lighting fairs will introduce the “Smart Commercial Display & Stage Audio-Visual Zone,” featuring industry giants like Absen, whose technology has been used in the NBA and FIFA World Cup.

Hybrid Business Matching To facilitate seamless trade, HKTDC will utilize the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model. This includes the “Click2Match” AI-driven online platform (active throughout April) and the “Scan2Match” app feature, allowing Saudi buyers to continue sourcing journeys offline-to-online.
