flynas Announces Development of State‑of‑the‑Art Training Center for Pilots and Cabin Crew Daily capacity of up to 700 trainees and investment exceeding SAR 200 million
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – flynas, the leading low‑cost airline in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East, announced the start of construction of an advanced training center in Riyadh, with an investment exceeding SAR 200 million. Developed in collaboration with global and local partners including Airbus, CAE, and Restart, the project aims to enhance flynas’ training capabilities and support the development of national talent in the aviation sector.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the center will span approximately 13,000 square meters in Riyadh’s Al Rimal district, less than 10 minutes from King Khalid International Airport. Designed to accommodate around 700 trainees per day, the facility will provide an integrated and advanced training environment that meets the needs of flynas’ rapidly expanding operations and supports the continuous development of pilots and cabin crew in line with the highest international standards.
In its first phase, the center will be equipped with three advanced flight simulators. The facility is designed to accommodate eight simulators initially, with future expansion capacity of up to 14, in addition to comprehensive equipment for practical safety and service training.

The new center will enable flynas to strengthen its in‑house training capabilities, enhance the efficiency and quality of its training operations, reduce reliance on external training facilities, lower the cost of training pilots and cabin crew, and generate sustainable financial savings. These improvements will enhance operational readiness and support the company’s long‑term growth and expansion plans.
The project builds on flynas’ strategy of investing in advanced technologies and developing human capital, while ensuring the readiness of its workforce to support the continued expansion of its fleet, destination network, and operations. It also contributes to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Aviation Strategy, particularly in developing the aviation sector, localizing specialized jobs, and building national capabilities.
