CATL Opens Middle East’s First and Largest New Energy Aftermarket Facility in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — January 15, 2026 — CATL has officially inaugurated the NING SERVICE Experience Center in Riyadh, marking the Middle East’s first and currently the largest new energy aftermarket facility outside of China. Spanning over 7,000 square meters, the facility serves as a critical milestone in supporting the region’s transition toward electrification and sustainable energy under Saudi Vision 2030.

A Comprehensive Full-Lifecycle Hub

The Riyadh center is designed to provide a “full-lifecycle” approach to new energy services. Utilizing CATL’s world-class R&D, the facility offers a wide range of services across seven major product categories, including passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and energy storage systems. Key services include:

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Reducing downtime and maintenance costs for enterprise and end-users.
  • Battery Maintenance & Recycling: Ensuring long-term asset performance and environmental sustainability.
  • Specialized Logistics: Dedicated aftermarket warehousing and logistics for the region.

Driving Saudi Vision 2030

The opening aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goal to transition 30% of vehicles in Riyadh to electric by 2030. The center will also function as an ecosystem hub, fostering partnerships with local industry leaders. Ahmed Ibrahim, Assistant General Manager at Al Drees, noted: “We plan to deploy solar-plus-storage solutions at our stations and electrify forklifts to reduce oil reliance. We look forward to collaborating with CATL to drive this transition.”

Empowering Local Talent

Beyond hardware, the NING SERVICE Experience Center is a platform for knowledge transfer. It features dedicated training spaces to cultivate local technical expertise, contributing to skilled employment in the Kingdom’s growing green economy.

Bruce Li, President of Quality System and Aftermarket Business at CATL, stated: “Our decision to establish this center in Riyadh is a long-term commitment. It is more than a service facility; it is a new energy ecosystem hub that connects stakeholders to foster deeper synergy and sustainable growth across the region.”

Global Reach, Local Impact

This facility joins CATL’s expansive global network of over 1,200 service stations across 76 countries. With the Riyadh center as a flagship, CATL reinforces its position as a global leader in providing reliable, end-to-end services for the global energy transition.
