Saudi National Day Activation Brings Free Health Checks and Metabolic Health Awareness to Riyadh Community

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — September 2026: A dedicated pop-up activation at Al Nakheel Mall brought metabolic health awareness closer to the community during the Saudi National Day celebrations. Organised by Valeo Health in collaboration with Novo Nordisk, the activation offered visitors an accessible opportunity to learn more about their health while enjoying the occasion.

The activation was designed to meet consumers where they are — celebrating, spending time with family and enjoying the festivities — with a simple reminder that celebrating life also means taking care of your health. Consumers were invited to take a proactive look at key aspects of their metabolic health, with free BMI assessments, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as access to a complimentary doctor consultation for those seeking further guidance. The experience provided an accessible starting point for understanding personal health indicators, discussing concerns with a medical professional and exploring appropriate next steps for metabolic management, including medically supervised solutions where relevant.

The activation took place against a backdrop of significant metabolic health challenges in the Kingdom. According to Saudi Arabia’s national health statistics, 23.1% of people aged 15 and above are living with obesity, while a further 45.1% are classified as overweight. Together, these figures highlight the importance of greater awareness, early intervention and access to medically guided approaches to metabolic health.

The activation also reinforced an important message: obesity is a chronic disease that deserves appropriate medical attention and support, rather than being viewed simply as a matter of will- power. By bringing health checks and medical guidance into a busy community setting, the activation made conversations around metabolic health more accessible and actionable.

The pop-up attracted thousands of Consumers, amplifying the message throughout one of the Kingdom’s most important national celebrations. Visitors also enjoyed Saudi National Day themed giveaways, adding a celebratory element to an experience centred on health, awareness and wellbeing.
